The Solus VS150 electric fire is the second largest in the range of Solus VS electric fires and my word, is it impressive! Before we go into more detail about the design, the look and the specifications, did you notice it comes in five different variations? There is the inset version, corner, panoramic, Malmo, and the anthracite shelf option. Quite how the same fire can look so different in each variation is staggering and impressive in equal measures. We often talk about extended viewing areas with wood-burning and multifuel stoves, but the extended viewing area with the Solus VS150 electric fire is in a whole different league. You will also notice the log effect fire bed and the flickering flames which give that relaxing feeling and calm ambience. Many people find it difficult to believe this is only a log effect fire bed as opposed to real logs and real flames. Thankfully, you have full control over the fire bed, the flames and the authentic crackling sound effect which is the icing on the cake. There are six pre-programmed themes although you can set the height, colour, brightness and style of flames. Turning now to the specifications, the Solus VS150 electric fire has dimensions of width 1500mm, height 548 mm with a depth of 281 mm - it is a fair sized machine! The ability to vary the flames, brightness and colour and contrast with the fire bed can change the mood and feel of a room in a second. There's nothing better than returning home after a tough day at the office, kicking off those shoes and laying back, drifting into another world. The heat output is between 1 kW and 2 kW with a normal 2 kW rating although you can also use the Solus VS150 electric fire without the heat output. There is also a cool blowing setting which is just perfect for those hot summer afternoons.
As you would expect nowadays, not only is there a control panel on the Solus VS150 electric fire but it comes with a remote control and an app which you can download to your smartphone.
