Since the Broseley stove company was acquired by Be Modern back in 2009, we have seen a constant stream of new heating products. The latest is the Broseley Tunstall Electric Stove which is fairly unique as an electric stove, it is cylindrical in shape. As you will see from the image, the Broseley Tunstall Electric Stove is certainly a modern design. It looks and feels as if it should be a wood-burning/multifuel stove when in fact it is electric powered.
Research shows those looking to acquire electric stoves tend to have one eye on the heat capacity and another on the design. This up to date design is at home in any environment, classic and modern, and can be fitted as a stand-alone in the centre of the room or in a corner. The 2 kW heat output is more than enough to take the chill off a small to medium size room. The realistic flame pattern and fuel bed have surprised many people, some mistaking them for a wood-burning stove.
The machine has dimensions of width 410 mm, height 650 mm with a depth of 410 mm. There is a dummy flue outlet for added effect and the option of a log store. The log option will take the height up to 874 mm. The thermostat and flame controls are operated manually and there is the option of a decorative flue pipe which is sold separately.
There has been a huge increase in demand for electric stoves over the last couple of years. There is no doubt that the advances in technology have helped. While 2 kW heat output is not excessive, it can still take the chill off a room. The design is so lifelike to the wood-burning/multifuel comparisons that it can be difficult to tell the difference from a distance. The Broseley Tunstall Electric Stove is easy to install, very easy on the eye, competitively priced and more environmentally friendly than wood-burning/multifuel stoves. There is a lot going for this new area of the stove industry!
